1. We believe that the word of God is living and active. We aim to return people to Scripture and allow scripture to transform our thoughts and actions (Hebrews 4:12).

2. We believe that the goal of studying scripture is not to know more Bible but to know Jesus and in doing so know God more intimately (Hebrews 1:1-4).

3. We believe that each believer is empowered by the Holy Spirit to understand the deep things of God (1 Cor 2), but also that God designed the church as the place where we mutually grow in Christ.  Thus, all Bible study should entail both the individuals personal study alongside communal discussion and interpretation.

4. We believe that all study in the word of God should lead to transformation of the believer and church into further Christ-likeness.
